The Mosul Mess

Initial reports seemed to indicate that the attack on the mess tent at the military base in Mosul was a mortar or rocket attack, which the mainstream media used as an excuse to recycle the Humvee/armor issue with the typical leftist hatred of Halliburton tossed into the mix...  don't be surprised if we start hearing media-manufactured rumors about soldiers trying to build tents out of scrap metal.

The thing is, a terrorist group claiming responsibility has described the attack as a suicide-bombing, and investigators have also found evidence confirming this...  based on the eyewitness account of an Army Chaplain, it sounds to me like the initial blast came from a suicide-bomber who managed to infiltrate the mess tent, and mortars were then used to attack the rescuers who showed up on the scene afterwards.  If that's the case, then these soldiers could have been eating their meals inside the equivalent of Fort Knox and it still wouldn't have made a lick of difference.
