One Voice, Zero Solutions
I'm so sick of seeing the same stupid commercial over and over again, that one with all the celebrities begging for us to sign a petition asking President Bush to "save" Africa. It always leaves me with the chorus to "Everyone's Got AIDS" stuck in my head for some reason, and I tend to get a little creeped out by how weird Tom Hanks looks in it, but mainly, the stupidity of the whole thing just pisses me off... I really wish these celebs would wake the hell up. Dumping money into kleptocratic regimes isn't going to eliminate poverty or hunger, and subsidizing hyperinflated AIDS statistics isn't going to eliminate disease... but all these Hollywood types ever seem capable of is blaming America for Africa's problems, and demanding that more money get flushed down the toilet. How come we never hear these people complaining about all the corruption, slavery, genocide, and cannibalism that goes on in Africa? Until then, I'll just keep rolling my eyes at all their sanctimonious bullshit.
To Watcher who posted the comment on the commercials to save Africa. Your comment only shows how much of a truly narrow minded, cheap-ass moron you really are. Keep your comments to yourself and your white trash friends you call nieghbors in your trailer park. Do you realize the people these celebrities are begging you to help have nothing? They make your poor butt look like Bill Gates, and that can't be easy. It's cheap-ass right wing biggots like you that give Christians a bad name. If people like you turn a blind eye to all the suffering and death in Africa, then as far as I'm concerned you are a acomplice to murder. this in turn is breaking one of those ten commandments you so like to stick in front of courthouses, making god very upset. So in closing I'll will say to you what god is more than likely going to tell you when you die and show up at the gates of haven-"Go to hell."
